History of Baseball Affecting Lives Today

Did you know that Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson struck out 2,600 times in his baseball career?

That's the most in the history of baseball!

WE DON'T REMEMBER the strike outs because Jackson never gave up, and he was always a valuable leader on the team.

WE DO REMEMBER, however, all the (563) homeruns as Denzel Washington describes in this talk to University of Pennsylvania grads. For 14 seasons, Jackson was named an American League All Star. He also achieved the Most Valuable Player Award after knocking out of the park 3 home runs to clinch his most recent World Series Win. Jackson even earned a Babe Ruth Award.

THE POINT: Some people give up. But others never will! And those who never give up will achieve Big Victories in life.

SO, NEVER GIVE UP! THE WINS ARE WORTH THE REWARDS :-)
